Title: CONFLICT, CONFETTI, THE MOON, AND A FORK – Part 3

Have you been thinking about what kind of leader you are? How do you handle conflict? Do you decide to improve yourself and learn how to use all the styles? Do you choose the style of resolution that fits the situation?

Conflict is a given, in any situation where more than one person resides! You will have it. As a leader, embrace it and handle it.

Look at conflict as an opportunity to move people forward. There has NEVER been a time in the history of our world, that something positive occurred without there having first been conflict. You can think about the smallest accomplishment, such as getting that pothole in front of your house filled. You may have had to write a complaint letter to the city council. Or, you may have had to appear before the city council with your neighbors. Either way, there were probably butterflies who took up residence in your stomach. You experienced conflict. But, something good came from it.

You can think about a very large accomplishment: voting rights, civil rights, cleaning up the waterways. These all came about because of conflict. People pushed forward. As a leader, be the person who pushes forward. Be the person who knows that conflict can bring about great things. And, that calls for a party. Bring on the CONFETTI!!!
