Title:
TIME MANAGEMENT – Part 2
By Bryan Arzani
Time management can be viewed as our reality. Reality is “what is”. It’s not what we wish it to be. It’s not what it could have been. Grasp and practice this understanding, and you’ll be well ahead of the game.
Our view of reality leads to behavioral choices by us. In the fear paradigm, we avoid. In the duty paradigm, we endure. Achievement, we win. Integrity, we learn.
Here’s another reality, and a bit of a paradox: TIME: we never have enough of it, and yet we have all that there is. Think about this. My wishing for more time doesn’t create it. My working into the night and losing sleep doesn’t really give me more time to be productive. My choice to skip family or fun events doesn’t really give me more quality time.
Time management is about recognizing the paradigm from which you operate. Notice how these thought processes affect not only your behaviors, but then how you feel about yourself and how you’ve spent your time.
I’ve read a great comment on a greeting card, maybe hokey….but filled with some wisdom. “Time is not to be spent worrying about what we could have done differently, but to be enjoyed and pushed to the end with what we want to do.”
You control how you spend your time. You filter thoughts about yourself and your value. They are related. Choose wisely and kindly.
